Enclosed slip rings

Enclosed slip rings

The commonly used slip ring modification is enclosed in a case. Thanks to the case people are protected from the conducting parts. Consequently the case also prevents foreign bodies entering it.

The case can be made with a protection level up to IP67. For cable entries we use cable glands that provide not only proofness, but also tight cable fixation against uncontrolled movements, such as jerks and others.

For insulation of the brush holders used contemporary material – fiberglass. High thermal resistance, hardness and durability – these are the main characteristics of this material. Also tubes from this material are used as insulators with contact rings.

Usually, the case is made from steel sheets. After punching and bending the case is ready for powder coating. Such method proved itself for its durability and other operational characteristics.

For severe environments the case and rotational parts of the slip ring might be made from galvanised steel.

On request we also produce cases from stainless steel.

Slip ring model range is presented with currents from 5 mA to 400 A. We are ready to discuss with our customers any requirements. Our engineering department can design slip rings which you are most in need: multistage, special configuration, operational current up to 5000 A.
